This was one of the defense towers of the infamous Johnny Armstrong or Johnny of Gilnockie, and now is home to one of the Armstrong Museums located around the area that Johnny patroled in his Hey days, before King John of England invited him and his clan over for talks and the King had them all killed. Now you can go there and buy all Armstrong clans merchandise and see the history and even see an imprint of Neil Armstrongs footprint from his moon mission being the first man to set foot on the moon, Neil presented it to the museum personally and also this is an unknown fact but Neil Armstrong took part of the Armstrong clan tartan to the moon and back with him. It is very interesting all the articles and artefacts in the museum dating back to medieval times. I would recommend a visit there if you're in the area or your last name is Armstrong.
